Maggie Minor
Ceramic Bowls & Sculptures - Asheville, NC

From the Artist
I enjoy bringing together rustic and modern aesthetics to create ceramic dinnerware, sculpture, and home décor that accentuate a broad range of home interior styles. Fascinated by colors, textures, and patterns in nature, my recent work integrates inspiration from weaved baskets, wood planks, rippling sand, and ocean waves.

Coming from an artistic family, I have been surrounded by fine art, interior design and architecture my entire life and understand how all three must compliment each other in order to have a truly relaxing space. I am always striving to make that perfect something that brings the comfort of nature into a living and working space.

In November of 2014, I was accepted into the highly prestigious Telfair Museum Art Fair in Savannah, Georgia and in the fall of 2014 I opened a gallery and studio in Asheville’s River Arts District.

Before returning to the arts in my mid-thirties, I worked as a coordinator at The New Yorker magazine and traveled the world as a humanitarian worker and Peace Corps volunteer. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Art History and History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of International Studies from the University of Sydney in Australia. I studied ceramics at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia.
